In the game you are controlling a pterodactyl. There are the original game where you eat bugs and shoot poop at the other dinosaurs and then there is the polar version where you pick-up snowballs and throw them at the frozen dinosaurs to free them from the ice. The game is teaching a young audience about dinosaurs and linking them to their respectable timeline.
The game is available to play in the DR LÆR app. (Polar version was published in 2022)
Role: Programmer
Responsibilities: I joined the development of the polar version of the game. When implementing the new version instead of stunning the dinosaur by shooting pop at them they should instead start stunned and be un-stunned when getting hit by a snowball. This mean the functionality we had for the original game had to be reversed. Apart from implementation of the new shooting functionality I also did sound sampling and we had an issue where the sound would continue playing when the screen was locked. I fixed this by using the blur/unblur functionality in Phaser, which was the program we used when developing the game.
